Hiroshima becomes an ESG economic city – Recognised as Japan’s first sustainable model city

In 2025, Hiroshima City was selected by the Japanese government as an ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) model city.

The priority areas are as follows:

Renewable energy (solar power, hydrogen energy, etc.)
Environmental technology (wastewater treatment, industrial waste recycling)
Sustainable urban development (promotion of low-carbon building materials)

Professor Keiko Yamamoto of Hiroshima University commented:

“Hiroshima is transforming from a traditional industrial city into an environmentally friendly, next-generation economic city.”

TERASUN is also promoting joint projects with Vietnamese companies in the fields of renewable energy and resource circulation.
